Welcome to the Medpaid Practitioner Agent App Training Hub

Medpaid is a growing online telemedicine software that helps customers qualify to use their HSA & FSA funds for wellness, holistic care, and research-backed products. We’re seeking physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants to review pre-screened assessment requests. You’ll approve or deny the request, issuing a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) when appropriate.

Download the Medpaid Agent App to get started. Offered only on IOS devices. Complete the onboarding form steps prompted in the app after installation. This includes submitting COI, state license(s), ID, NPI, and digital signature.

Get Verified & Setup Payouts

Our medical team will review your license and credentials for approval once your onboarding steps are submitted in the app. This usually takes 1-3 business days. You will receive a confirmation email once approved. Log out of the app and log back in to see new permission based features for LMN approval. Set up your automatic payouts in the app while your approval is pending.

Get Paid to Review Assessments

Once approved, log in and begin reviewing digital health assessments that populate in the app. Assessments will only populate for patients in your licensed state(s). Push notifications will be sent to help notify you when an assessment is ready to be reviewed. Once assessments are approved by you, a Letter of Medical Necessity will automatically be issued to the patient digitally. You’ll receive payouts automatically by the 5th of each month, based on reviewed LMNs.

What You’ll Be Doing

Patients complete and submit health questionnaires requesting an LMN through e-commerce platforms integrated with Medpaid telemedicine software. Assessments are pre-processed through an eligibility check by Medpaid and sent to you for final review and approval if they pass the software’s initial review.

Each assessment review in the Agent App includes:

  • Health assessment answers given by patient
  • ICD-9 code(s) with associated medical conditions to qualify the medical need
  • Clinical reference links

Simply approve or deny it based on your clinical judgment. All appropriate research is generated by our pre-qualifying software for review as needed.

Digitally Signed LMN's

Approved assessments automatically generate a digitally signed LMN.

The LMN is valid for 12 months and bears the signature generated by you during onboarding.

Your Role

Review requests from customers who purchased a qualifying product.

As a Medpaid practitioner, you’ll review requests from customers who have purchased a product and selected an approved condition it helps treat. Approving the request automatically adds your saved signature and issues the LMN with a simple click.

FAQ for Licensed Practitioners

Who is eligible to use the Medpaid Agent App?

Only licensed medical practitioners in the U.S. who can prescribe medications. Access is limited to 25 Agents per state.

How does the onboarding process work?
  1. Download the app and enter your onboarding details.
  2. Medpaid’s medical team reviews and verifies your credentials.
  3. Once approved, you can log in and begin reviewing assessments.
What are Medical Assessments?

These are digital health questionnaires filled out by patients seeking Letters of Medical Necessity (LMNs). They are filtered through Medpaid’s digital system before being routed to you.

What is my role in the process?

You review each assessment, which includes health details, ICD-9 codes, and research links, and either approve or deny it with a tap. Approved assessments generate a signed LMN valid for 12 months.

What is the process to get a LMN request?
  1. Customer buys an eligible product.
  2. They choose an approved condition, or the process stops.
  3. Their assessment is sent via the Medpaid app to a licensed practitioner in their state.
  4. You review, approve or deny, and submit. Done.
How will I know when there are assessments?

Push notifications will alert you when a new assessment is ready.

How much will I earn?

You’ll earn a flat rate per approved LMN. $2 per completed assessment/LMN, paid whether you approve or deny. Many practitioners process multiple assessments in just minutes, so earnings can add up quickly. No cap on how many you can complete.

When do I get paid?
  • Earnings show as a running balance in the app.
  • Payouts are automatically sent by the 5th of each month once your payout method is set up.
Is the platform HSA/FSA compliant?

Yes, all LMNs follow IRS Publication 502 guidelines and are backed by credible medical literature and a two-step validation process.

How is it so quick and easy?

Our medical team does the heavy lifting before an assessment ever reaches you. We research each product and only list conditions supported by the best available medical studies. Customers must select one of these approved conditions for their product, otherwise the assessment can’t be submitted. Customers are asked about contraindications and must confirm they’ll review all products/services with their personal healthcare provider. This means by the time the assessment arrives, they’ve essentially self-excluded if the product isn’t appropriate for them. Because of this, reviewing and signing a prefilled LMN can literally take seconds. If desired, you can click a link in the assessment to view all supporting research in our database for that product.

Yes. Many practitioners use both the Agent App and the Virtual Dispensary to serve patients and generate revenue.
